Postcard of Eleanor Marx 1855-1898. Eleanor was the daughter of  Karl Marx and so was born into the British and international working class movement. She made a significant contribution in her own right as a speaker and organiser for the Social Democratic federation and as co-author of 'The Woman Question'. Together with Engels she was the custodian and literary executor of her father's work. She took her own life at the age of 43.
